不思議なアート

重なりのあるオブジェクトを撮っていてふと気になって、以前紹介したHarter Fallの「柱のうしろ」をまた見に行きました。
以前報告したときに単純に透明オブジェクトの重なりなんて書いて大変失礼しました。スカルプを使った複雑な現象でした。

While shooting doubled objects with interference I remembered "Behind columns" by Harter Fall and visited it again. When I reported before, I said it would be doubled objects with alpha channel, but actually this was complicated design using sculpture. I express by regret. The art is presented at the above site. ある角度から見ると普通の柱が９本並んでいるだけのように見えますが・・・

In certain angles, it looks that there are nine columns normally…




別の角度からは前後関係が変化します。背の高い柱が常に前に見えるのかと思うと右上のようにそうでもない。
どういう原理で見えているのか確かめようと、ぐるぐる回ってたら目が回った（＾－）　どなたか仕組みを教えてください。　これ全部で２プリムしか使ってません。

But from other angles, their position will be changed. I thought that the higher columns come in front, but the top right picture shows it is not true. I tried to find the logic and was circling around it and got dizzy. Could anyone teach me how this works? This is only using two prims.
