シンガポール

「シンガポールの文化の紹介」とタイトルのついたSIMですけど、あまり見るとこはなかった。RLのシンガポールも少し薄い街だったような（＾－）
このマーライオンも今ひとつ・・・　ライオンは伝説から判るけど、どうして下半身が魚なのか、RLで地元の人に聞きまくったけど、誰も知らなかった。
1972年に新しくシンボルを作ったとき、港だから魚にしよう、という程度だったらしいです（＾－＾）

This SIM is titled as “a cultural showcase of Singapore”, but not so much to see. I felt that the real Singapore was also a bit thin(?) town. This Merlion statue also lacks something. A lion is understandable based on legend, but nobody was able to tell me the reason why the lower body is fish. It seems that they made it as a half-fish when they decided the symbol in 1972 simply because there is a harbor.

観光地の世界三大がっかり（３Ｍ）は、「マーライオン」「人魚像」「真実の口（小便小僧という説も）」なんだそうです。
このままだとこの像も「SL三大がっかり」になっちゃうよ。そういえば、酔っ払ってひどいことになるのをマーライオンって言うんだって。

But it looks hansome and I used the Merlion on my sail or swim suit. (If you are interested in the top of the swiming suit, please see the picture of a mermaid on the first floor of my gallery) It is said that there are three big mis-expectations (3M) in the world sightseeing, Merlion, Mermaid, and Mouth of Truth (or Manneken Pis). This stature could become one of the three big disappointment in SL...　By the way, the terrible situation drunk badly is named Merlion.
