TEMIのセカンドライフ

あちこちにゲーム盤が置いてありました。チェスとチェッカーは判るけど、右下のは全然見たことがないです。
一番ポピュラーなのは左上ので、チーズィとかいうまわり双六みたいなの。
他人の駒に重なると出発点に戻すことが出来るけど、自分の色のマスや安全地帯に入ってるときは無事。

There are many game tables in the Middle East. I know the chess and checker, but the right bottom is new to me. The most popular one seems to be the top left called Cheesy that is like a circular Sugoroku. The piece moves according to the dices. If you hit other piece, it will be returned to the starting point, but it is guarded when the piece is on its own color or safety zone.




不思議なのは、ゲームする場所が広場の真ん中が多いこと。日本ならカフェかバーみたいになると思うけど。
周囲に敵が多い狩猟民族では、見晴らしが効く場所の方が安心感があるのかも？

An interesting point is that the game site is situated at the middle of wide open area. I think it will be set in a bar or café if in Japan. I guess that the wide space with good visibility may give a secure feeling for a race of hunters that has natural enemies.
