ナウシカ
ハウルの城の周りをメーヴェで飛びました。違和感ないですねー、さすが宮崎駿の世界。
Flew around the Howl’s Moving Castle with Mowe kite. There is no sense of discomfort. That is the world of Hayao Miyazaki.
メーヴェはSLを始めた頃に見てショックで、すぐ買いました。空飛ぶ乗り物は沢山あったけどこれが一番楽しくて最初は毎日乗ってた。
SLでしか出来ないことのひとつ。腹筋と背筋がよほど強くないとこの姿勢はできませんよね。王蟲はHideyoshiさんのとこにいた。
I was shocked to find Mowe kite at early stage of my SL life and bought it immediately. There were many kinds of flying devices but Mowe was the most enjoyable. I was flying every day for a while. This is one of things that can be done only in SL. You need very strong abdominal and back mascle to keep this posture. The Ohmu was at Hideyoshi’s space.
王蟲の上を飛ぶ。映画では風の谷へと暴走するオームを止めるナウシカ。
コミックでは大地の傷を癒す大きな流れを導く王蟲。でもそのときは目は赤ではなかったはず。コミックは白黒でしたが・・・
Flying over Ohmu. In the movie, Nausicaa will stop the stampede toward the Valley of the Wind. In the comic, rushing Ohmu leads the huge movement of the toxic jungle to purify the land, but at that time Ohmu’s eyes should not be red. The comic was monochrome though.
映画版のクライマックス、王蟲を止めたナウシカ。
王蟲の子供はあの爆走の中をどうやって潜り抜けたのか、王蟲は身体の下に子供を抱くことが出来るんでしょうか？
The climax of the movie. Nausicaa stopped the Ohmu. Surprisingly the child Ohmu appeared after the stampede. Ohmu should be able to carry the baby under the body.

もっと沢山出したかったけど、私のは装着型で150プリム近くあるのでこれが限度でした。暴走の絵は合成しています。
The shooting site. Thank you Kazumi for letting me use the land. I had meant to put more, but my Ohmu is wearing type and has more than 150 prims. So this was the maximum. The stampede shot was a composite.
私のラストシーン。映画は風の谷が暴走から救われたところで終わってますけど、コミックではまだそこは1/5。
最後は巨神兵が飛び、墓所が崩壊、そして新しい未来へと続くエンディングも私は好きです。

My last scene. The movie ended when the valley was saved from the stampede, but that is only one fifth of the comic. I like also the ending of the comic where Giant Warrior flew, the secret grave exploded, and there was a vista for the future. But this is not the end of Baba. Still there will be more interesting things here. Also please visit the new Meeting area.

「腐った土鬼の土地も土民どももみんなくれてやる。全部しょってはいずりまわって世界を救って見せろ！！」と言ったナムリスも好きでした。
若いころは理想と希望に燃えていたミラルパ、「気に入ったぞ、お前は破壊と慈悲の混沌だ」と言ったトルメキア王、
迷いなく一途に突き進むクシャナ、ナウシカに異端の神を見てしまったチャルカ、他にも魅力的なキャラクタが沢山・・・
最後に、墓所の卵も王蟲や自分達と同じ生命であったと気づき、王蟲は理解し仲良くなれても卵にはそうでなかった自分の葛藤を深めるナウシカ。
セルムは「それは私とあなただけの秘密です。生きましょう、全てをこの星に託して、ともに・・・」と結びます。
I liked Namulith who said “Take the rotten land together with all autochthon, and crawl around while toting everything to save the world!” Miralupa the emperor had been on fire with an ideal, Kushana smashed her way, and Chalka looked another god in Nausicaa. King of Torumekia said, “I fancied you Nausicaa. You are a chaos of demolition and compassion”. There are many other attractive characters. At the last, Nausicaa realized that the egg in the grave was also a life as same as Ohmu and herself, and deepened her struggle. Selm said, “Keep it only for our eyes. Let us live, under the destiny of this planet, together…”
浄化後の人類の為に保存されていたデータを破壊してしまったナウシカに対して批判もあるようです。
でもこの物語は、ナウシカが勝った、ということであり、何が正しかったのかは言ってないのでしょう。
天才カーツワイルは30年以内に人間を超えるコンピュータが出現するだろうと予測します。
ではそれは墓所の卵の役割を担い、理想の人間を生み出せるのでしょうか。中東の紛争を消せるのでしょうか？
トルメキアとドルクのような争いは人間の宿命であり、人間自身が解決すべきこと。卵やコンピュータに委ねることは出来ないのかも、
それとも出来るのかも・・・
It could be controversial that Nausicaa destroyed the data that had been kept for future human after purification, but this story just said that Nausicaa has won, and does not tell who was correct, I think. Kurzweil said that a computer wiser than human would be made within 30 years, but can the computer be the egg in the tomb and provide ideal world? Can it settle all conflicts in the Middle East? The war between Torumekia and Doroku might be a fate of human and it should be resolved only by them themselves, and not be entrusted to the egg. Or could it be possible?
話は変わりますが、アメリカでアニメファンの友達がラピュタ見て 「ナウシカが歳とってドーラになったのよ」って言ってびっくり！
日本人はあの二人が、少なくとも外観が似てるとは思わないでしょう。
アメリカ人にとっては成長してああなるのは当然、というか自分たちもあんな姿になる、ということを無意識に認めているんですね。
それはさておき、キリスト教を信じ、自分達が墓所の役割を担ってると思うアメリカ人には、コミック版のラストは受け入れられないでしょう。
Changing the subject, one of my friends in the USA said after seeing a movie Laputa, Castle in the Sky, “Dora is the grown-up Nausicaa”. We Japanese will never see resemblance between them, but Americans can accept the aging effect like that. Also she would accept such a change occurring on her. Be that as it may, Americans who have faith in Christianity and think that they are playing a role as the tomb may not accept the ending of the comic version.
